About Blink Mobile Technologies
Blink’s primary service is called myAnswers, and can be regarded as ‘middleware for mobiles’, allowing organisations to deliver mobile services via their own ‘answerSpace’. An answerSpace is best described as a well structured environment for managing a wide range of mobile interactions. It works via a system of keywords, each with logic to structure the form of end-user questions and format return content for optimal mobile viewing.
The myAnswers service can repurpose and ‘mash up’ selected information across a range of disparate systems - internet/intranet/extranet, business applications, even external information from 3rd party systems. The service can also identify the range of end-user mobile devices and dynamically reconfigure all requested information ‘on the fly’ to display information in line with the full capabilities of the end-user’s mobile device – be it an iPhone/iPad, Blackberry/various Smartphone OS, 2G/3G mobile browsers or for phones only capable of SMS/MMS.
An ‘answerSpace’ can deliver a more contextual user experience because it’s not trying to replicate an organisations entire web assets in a mobile format. It’s actually able to logically combine information for a mobile user, that might live in different parts of a website or even in silo’d business systems. The service also provides for secure log-in and identification where needed and can deal easily with ‘closed’ lists for restricted information.
Finally the ‘mForms’ mobile forms module takes the service beyond just information retrieval, with the ability to rapidly build mobile forms for in-field applications as well as the database structures that underpin them.
